Soft tissue therapy & Acupuncture on the Welsh, Shropshire and Cheshire borders

With over two decades of experience, culminating in many thousands of hours of skilled clinical ‘hands-on’ treatment, I provide a space and opportunity to help alleviate pain, restore function, improve mobility and support recovery from injury.

Stress and Tension in the Body

Many people notice that stress and emotional pressure begin to show up physically as:

• muscle tension

• headaches

• fatigue

• disrupted sleep

• a general sense of being physically “wound up”

Treatment may include deep tissue & sports focussed massage, acupuncture and mobility and stretching guidance. The focus is always on identifying and addressing the underlying cause of pain, not simply the symptoms.

At the same time, physical injury or long-term discomfort can affect mood, confidence and emotional wellbeing.

Many clients first come for injury treatment and later continue with regular or occasional sessions to maintain their wellbeing.

I offer a holistic approach that invites clients to explore the wisdom of their own bodies.

In these sessions, I integrate my counselling skills—my warmth, empathy, and presence—with hands-on techniques to create a safe space for both physical and in many cases emotional exploration with an open and curious mind to treatment.

This means that whether you’re coming in for relief from physical discomfort or looking to deepen your awareness of how your body holds emotional experiences, we can tailor our work to suit your needs. I believe in the power of tuning into felt sensations and using the body as a gateway to greater self-understanding and healing which is all about well-being and longevity.

“Soft Tissue Therapy is more than just sports massage, it is a person-centred approach to the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of minor and chronic musculoskeletal pain and injury”. (Institute of sports and remedial massage)

If You Are Coming for Soft Tissue Therapy

Soft Tissue Therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes, £50.

The first session will include a short discussion about the problem you are experiencing.

This may involve talking about:

• where you are feeling pain or discomfort

• how long the issue has been present

• activities or movements that affect it

• any relevant injuries or medical history

Treatment will then focus on the areas contributing to the problem, using soft tissue techniques designed to reduce tension, improve movement and support recovery.

Where helpful, I may also suggest simple stretches or exercises that can support improvement between sessions.
